Paula Chan, Evolution Trainers

Paula Chan
MS, PT, ATC
Paula has been a sport and orthopedic physical therapist for over 20 years. Her background has been in manual therapy techniques and biomechanical assessment. Paula has enjoyed working with youths, adolescents, and adults, assessing their biomechanics and it’s affect on their function, movement, and performance. She evaluates each person as a ‘whole,’ and educates them so they understand how to improve their function and reduce their pain. She has been very successful with identifying mechanical faults early to prevent injury, as well as using these findings to retrain people to become more efficient and improve sport performance.
Paula strives to provide the highest quality of care through direct one-on-one treatment sessions. She incorporates wellness into individual programs, for improved overall health.

Dr. Juliet St. Germain
DPT

Juliet was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Juliet is interested in the integrative whole-systems approach of the Institute of Physical Art and that of the Barral Institute. She has attended several courses through the Institute of Physical Art as she works toward becoming a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT).

She is eager to facilitate individuals along their path of healing and emphasizes the impact each unique history and life experience has on their road to recovery!

Dr. Mark McMahon
DPT, OMT, CFMT

Mark is a residency-trained manual physical therapist. Graduating from Georgia State University in 1997, Mark also completed a year of Residency in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT), and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, through the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2006. And in 2015, he became certified in Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art.
An avid (and occasionally injured) amateur musician and recreational runner, Mark enjoys working with clients who are passionate about their activities, whether vocational, athletic, or recreational. He believes physical therapy should be a process of self-discovery for each client, empowering them to understand their functional challenges and to help them access the tools they need to find a path to genuine healing.

Curtis Cramblett
LPT,  CFMT

Curtis is the founder of Revolutions In Fitness in San Jose, California. Curtis has been practicing as a Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) for over 15 years. He holds a BS in Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy from Ohio University. He is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) with the Institute of Physical Arts. Continual education and certification efforts are a product of his unique dedication to staying on the cutting-edge of advances in the world of physical therapy and sports medicine.

Dr. Lauren Mindel
DPT

Born and raised in California, Lauren received her bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from St. Mary’s College of California prior to earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UC San Francisco and San Francisco State University. She is especially fond of utilizing the Sahmann approach and Functional Manual Therapy techniques she has learned through continuing education courses with the Institute of Physical Art.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Lauren danced professionally and taught dance to all ages. She has been recognized for her artistry and choreography, and she continues to teach and create.

Dr. Janeen Wallace
DPT

Janeen is a California native and received her bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo before earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at UC San Francisco. Since then, she has been working as a physical therapist for over a decade and has continued her learning through many continuing education courses as well as an extended Maitland based Advanced Skills manual therapy course at Kaiser Hayward, a six month Neurological PT residency in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) at Kaiser Vallejo, and has earned her OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist) certification. She has attended several courses in Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art and is working toward her CFMT certification.

Dr. Jessica Teply
Doctor of Physical Therapy, BFR Certified

Jessica grew up near Salt Lake City, Utah and opted to stay close to the mountains while she worked toward her Bachelor of Science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She then attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Her interests within the profession include manual therapy, exercise- based intervention, and neuromuscular re-education techniques. She has taken several continuing education courses with the Institute of Physical Art is excited to continue growing her Functional Manual Therapy skills. One of Jessica’s favorite things about being a physical therapist is the opportunity the profession offers to connect with individuals of all backgrounds, circumstances, and perspectives. She finds her interactions with patients to be the most rewarding part of her job. Her ultimate goal is to be able to help even the most complex patients fully appreciate their potential for movement. She finds great joy in empowering individuals to participate in their desired activities at their desired level.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica prefers to spend most of her time outside. Depending on the season, you can find her downhill skiing, trail running, hiking, or water skiing. She also enjoys baking (and eating) sweet treats, relaxing with a good book, and traveling to new areas. She is always willing to try her hand at new activities and is excited to be in California for her next extended adventure.

Dr.  Colleen Kerins
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Colleen grew up near Binghamton, New York. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Fredonia in 2009. After which, she pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Touro College in Bay Shore NY.

Throughout her career, she has been passionate about pursuing continuing education to further develop her manual therapy skills. She completed a six-month residency program in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) at Kaiser Vallejo. She has also completed several courses in Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art and is working toward her CFMT certification. She finds great fulfillment connecting with her patients, and helping them re-engage in activities that make life meaningful.

Colleen has also been practicing yoga for over 10 years and became certified to teach yoga in 2018. She believes yoga can bridge the gap between physical and mental health, and that it is a great modality for self-care. She currently teaches a therapeutic yoga class in Aptos geared towards those who are healing acute conditions or managing chronic conditions that may not be appropriate for other group exercise classes. When indicated, Colleen incorporates breathing exercises and mindfulness practices into PT treatment. Colleen is passionate about holistic health and is a lifelong student. She is constantly seeking new information and alternative healing strategies for the prevention and management of chronic illness. She has a strong interest in Functional Medicine and is learning how lifestyle, nutrition, and mental health can play a role in our endocrine and immune systems.

Outside of the clinic, Colleen is active and loves to spend time outdoors. She spends a lot of time dancing, seeing live music, hiking, backpacking, camping, swimming, and snowboarding.
