Paula Chan

Paula Chan, MS, PT, ATC

Paula has been practicing sports and orthopedic physical therapy for over 19 years. Over the years, Paula has become very interested in biomechanics and it’s affect on function, movement, and performance. Furthering her education and knowledge in this area, has greatly improved her ability to help her patients not only decrease their pains, but return to better function and performance than pre-injury.

Paula is also a Certified Performance Evaluator through the Titleist Performance Institute. While this evaluation is created for golfers, she has found it also improved the efficiency and play of her tennis players and skiers.

Paula’s physical therapy and training model, focuses on finding an individual’s specific biomechanical issues, utilizing manual skills to improve these, educating the individual to assist in correcting their mechanics, and then creating an exercise program to facilitate them, and progress them to their goals.

RESTOR Physical Therapy

We also have housed within our facility a separate physical therapy company, RESTOR Physical Therapy.

The Restor Way Based on a unique problem solving approach, RESTOR aims to provide the highest quality of care available through the development of new and more effective ways of treating patients. Most clinics emphasize a high volume patient load, limiting the time spent with each individual. This decreases attention and quality of care. Restor’s philosophy is to provide generous time with each patient, methodically solving the problems by efficiently identifying the cause. This system has proven itself effective over time leading to a success rate of over 95%. Each staff member is adequately trained to treat, and confidently solve complicated orthopedic conditions. Weekly meetings are a substantial tool in developing a cohesiveness amongst the staff and a basis for reviewing and discussing a patient’s progress.
